About Me
Hello!
I am Ernie, as in “Bert and Ernie”. Bert is my brother and we are the perfect duo!
Out of the two of us, I am the calm and relaxed one. Nothing that could really upset me, really! I have been through so much in life already that I am now taking it extra easy.
What Makes Me Special
When I arrived to LAW, I was miserable and not able to move well (more about that below), but now I am full of life and energy!
Due to my history, I am a little scared of traffic. If my new humans could help me with that a bit, I’d really appreciate it!
My favorite thing in the world is playing with my brother Bert and all the other doggies in our backyard. We are two peas in a pod! Each other’s company is what we enjoy best, but both of us are great with other dogs, too! And humans! Oh boy, humans are our favorite.
Bert is a little more outgoing than me when it comes to making new friends, whereas I am a tiny tad more shy. As of now, but I think we will be even soon.
That doesn’t keep me from snuggling up to you as soon as I know you a bit though!
Belly rubs and ear scritches are what keeps me going everyday: I would definitely consider myself a cuddle bug!

Why am I Here at Lanta Animal Welfare?
Bert and I were brought to LAW from a government shelter. It was terrible in there, especially because I had been hit by a car, and broken my leg and hip!
The dog doctors here almost couldn’t save my leg due to the bad damage. But I am fully recovered now!
I still have all 4 of my legs and more ‘joie de vivre’ than ever!
